Available Position: DevOps Engineer II

Linux Administration; VMWare, Ansible, Apache, New Relic, AWS; Docker, Bamboo, Git, Logentries(or similar tool); Systems Monitoring experience
The DevOps Engineer's role centers on keeping strategic systems and related services operating at high levels. This role is responsible for ensuring that our platforms operate at high levels of availability and to provide first tier support for applications used by our external customers.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of systems by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Applies revisions to host system firmware and software.
  • Works with vendors to assist support activities.
  • Performs troubleshooting as required. Leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other internal and external support personnel.
  • Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on servers. Provides server support related to other software.
  • Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of computer operating systems, storage, and networks.
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
  • Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.
  • Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.
  • Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways to take advantage of new technology
  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 2-3 years Linux System Administration and Management experience
  • 1-3 years AWS Systems Administration (AWS systems & service) Experience
  • 1-2 years configuration management Experience (Bamboo, Ansible, etc.)
  • Linux server administration and management
  • Version control systems experience (Git preferred)
  • Programming/Scripting language and experience (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Application and system monitoring tool experience (Logentries, New Relic, Scriptrock, etc.)
  • Virtualization concepts and experience
  • Provisioning tools experience
  • Planning and Organizing: ability to multitask - Sense of urgency; maintain a positive attitude

  • Major Medical and Dental coverage will begin on the first day of the month following your date of hire
  • Group Term Life Insurance coverage is one times your times annual salary and begins on the 1st day of the quarter following your date of hire
