The System Engineer is responsible for the setup, the configuration and the support of our internal infrastructure. He/She will: develop and maintain all systems, security and network configurations, troubleshoots network performance issues, create and maintain disaster recovery plan, recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment, provide technical support and guidance to users.  This person should be used to work with internal and external resources.  This person should be aware of administrating significant number of servers, applications, etc. in a virtualized environment.  This person is responsible for adhering to standard projects management methodologies and reporting techniques. Primary responsibilities
  • Provide first level support for all LAN and WAN incidents
  • Troubleshoot network issues at all layers (OSI model)
  • Approach all tasks in an analytical manner
  • Create network utilization reports, circuits database update and maintenance
  • Deployment of new hardware through remote smart hands
  • Deployment of new web based applications on servers
  • Maintain up to date documentation of the network infrastructure
  • Maintain current knowledge of technologies

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor of Computer Science degree
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work in a startup environment
  • Experience at managing complex web environment
  • Skills to influence others
  • VMware cluster experience
  • EMC San management experience
  • Juniper Firewall experience
  • Reporting skills to update upper management

  • Excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges

  • Experience with task management software.  Jira experience preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
